Chakras
In this series, chakras are explored through the imperfect filters of human experience.
Images representing the chakras are typically mandalas, including the shapes and symbols that directly correlate to each energy center of the body in its fully balanced and perfect state. However, most of us experience our chakras, energy centers, through our own custom filter of perception which often and quite humanly include imbalances and blockages. In other words, our chakras aren't usually shiny and perfect because we're human in a world of constant change.
Enjoy these as visual meditations by enlarging the image of choice, and allowing yourself to relax into your seat, relaxing your gaze on the image. You are looking for nothing, analyzing nthing. SImplay allow your eye to slowly wander through the image as you notice the thoughts that arise. Linger on spots that conjure desirable or helpful awareness, and move in tiny incraments away from areas of the image that evoke challenging thoughts. What is shown to you already exists within you. The practice is to slow down and bring awareness to what is present, to release judgement or analysis and instead take it as information, and finally to choose a new action when you are ready to separate from the old or uncomfortable experience and location of your gaze to find another more pleasant or useful area. This is your agency.

It's a Process...
The process of healing (growing beyond old patterns and into new, chosen behavior) involves both our masculine and feminine attributes. Our Masculine is based in mind, information, and structure. Our feminine is based in body, intuition/sensing, and flow. Our masculine energy will identify the problem and seek to fix it. Our Feminine will flow within that which has been identified and will seek to access the nuances that need to shift. The ability of the feminine to sense and intuit, allows us to access the root cause of a wounded behavior/belief AND the harmonious beliefs/thoughts/behavior that will aid in overwriting the wounded pattern. The feminine language is about opening receptivity and sensing at a depth unreachable by the mind is what opens up new worlds of experience already within us.
Once the truth of the wounding is made visible through this collaborative process, the masculine mind will create a structure, interpreting the information delivered by the Feminine and discerning how to implement new supportive beliefs/thought/behaviors to overwrite the old wounded pattern.
The alchemical process asks for development and balance of both the Masculine and Feminine energy within all individuals in pursuit of evolving into a more harmonious existence. Below is a simple interpretation of this process:
